Hawks Bend – Radon & Air Quality Field Study

Canmore Community Housing in partnership with the National Research Council Canada (NRC) are personally inviting you to participate in a field study designed to estimate the impact of energy retrofit housing innovations and energy efficient housing design on indoor radon concentrations, so that you can ask further questions surrounding the program and your personal involvement.

Participants will play an important role in helping the NRC determine whether energy efficiency retrofits could affect indoor radon exposures. The attached information form is intended to help you understand exactly what we are asking of you so that you can decide whether you want to participate in study.

Additionally, due to the ongoing threat of wildfires and the overreaching impact on human health, we are providing indoor air quality monitoring and the option of portable air cleaners to reduce wildfire smoke indoor exposure as an optional contribution towards the research efforts being undertaken by NRC.
