CCHC is now only accepting 2015 Notice of Assessments and 2015 Income Tax and Benefit Returns (T1 General) for applications and verification of ongoing eligibility.

On December 1, 2015 Canmore Council voted unanimously to go forward with local transit.

Local service is anticipated to start in late 2016 and will service the Elk Run and Three Sisters areas in addition to stops at Elevation Place and the Seniors Lodge and the Nordic Centre.  

Also approved was increased frequency on the regional route to Banff.

McArthur Place at 100 Dyrgas Lane in Three Sisters Mountain Village is a 48-unit rental development that features spacious units with private decks, storage, and ample parking.  Applications are now being accepted for September 1, 2016 occupancy.

The Town of Canmore has long recognized the contribution of accessory suites as a supply of affordable rental housing and in facilitating entry-level housing ownership. As the Town undertakes the process to rewrite its Municipal Development Plan, there is an opportunity to create a forward-looking and supportive policy framework to increase the supply of legal suites for the broader community benefit.

Our objective with this report is to inform this process and future municipal policy, bylaws and initiatives by identifying opportunities to remove barriers to suites and encourage their creation. It is a comprehensive report that examines the local context and the experience of other Alberta communities.

Registration is not required but seating is limited. Bring your lunch; light refreshments will be provided.
